Sattva is a studio dedicated to Ashtanga Yoga . Founded in 2023 in Vila Nova de Gaia and conceived by Carolina Hessel, the space is born from approximately 20 years of practice and study, reflected in attentive, sensitive guidance and respect for each student's individual pace.
At Sattva, yoga is more than just postures: it's a path of self-knowledge, balance, and well-being . We value each practitioner as a unique being, adapting the teachings to support their physical, mental, and spiritual evolution.
The space is bright and welcoming, with changing rooms, a common area, a massage room, osteopathy and Reiki. In the heart of Vila Nova de Gaia — 200 meters from the Câmara de Gaia metro station, close to the General Torres and Devesas train stations and several bus stops and parking lots.

Certified by the Yoga Alliance, Carol is the creator of Sattva Yoga Gaia and has been practicing since 2006.
Having practiced various styles, such as Iyengar, Vinyasa, and Hatha, she has dedicated herself to Ashtanga Yoga since 2021.
By constantly deepening its practice and teaching, it seeks to promote a welcoming and respectful environment.
